May Day Celebration

We're having our first May Day celebration. May Day (May 1) is a big deal for morris dancers and something that most teams do to start off the season of dancing and to welcome in the spring. We'll be dancing at dawn (6:30 am) at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in front of the statue of Columbus at the corner of Schenely Dr and Frew St. It is a community event and we hope you can be there. (Click for map and event details)

Also, look for us around the Oakland area as we tour around after breakfast!

We'll be doing some guerilla morris starting ~9 AM, and continuing until we poop out (or until lunchtime, whichever comes first). Since it's guerilla morris you never know where we'll pop up, but some likely locations include: the Cathedral of Learning, the Main Library (CLP) in Oakland, the Phipps Conservatory, and the CMU campus.

Finally, round out the day by joining us at the contra dance, where we will be doing a dance at the break!!
